Bodylastics: Light On the Wallet, Heavy on Results

The Best Things Come In Tiny Packages
When the kit came in the mail, I knew the Bodylastics System was going to be portable, but it really didn’t take up any room at all.  It weighed nothing, under 2 pounds for sure, and all fit into 1 tiny bag – easy to throw under my bed or in with my luggage.

The Bodylastic Breakdown
Its basically 5 small elastic tubes, each a different color, each for a different tension – almost like different dumb bell weights.  There are two handles that you attach to the ends of the tubes, two ankle straps, and a door anchor (for attaching to a doorframe).  There was also a manual and a DVD (the DVD really walks you through all the different exercises you can do).  The other thing to note is that this equipment is quality – my friend warned me to stay away from the cheap-o’s they sell at the fitness stores and I could definitely tell the difference.

A Totally Different Way To Work Out
So I thought I’d give them a go.  I went through all the exercises in the book – the full body workout.  At first, it felt a little strange and took a little getting used to.  The thing is, the bands change resistance as you use them – they get tighter as they stretch, so its almost like lifting a free weight that’s getting heavier as you lift it.  This is totally different than any kind of lifting I have ever done and it just felt a little different.

The Skinny
Main thing was – With Bodylastics, I just gave myself a total body workout, in my home, with a tiny, light piece of equipment, and without going to the gym – I was sold.
